About The Work

Courtesy of Nature Morte, India

Prasanta Mukherjee’s works are prompted by the social, political, religious, or environmental circumstances around him.  The miniature objects in his works take one down the memory lane and intend to build an emotional connection with the physicality of these objects from the past. These mundane objects, which shape our memories and identities, become surreal in our perception of the past.
